Jessica Alba forgives Playboy

After demanding that Playboy pull their March issue with her on the cover, Jessica Alba has apparently rescinded her request after receiving a personal apology from Hugh Hefner. Alba believed that her photo on the cover would mislead folks into believing that she was nude or partially nude in the magazine – which she isn’t.

“I appreciate Mr. Hefner’s acknowledgment of the distress caused by Playboy’s actions, and I’m happy to put this unfortunate event behind me,” Alba said in a statement Tuesday. “This was never about money, it was about setting the record straight about something that was done without my knowledge or consent.” – Associated Press, Read more…

It was definitely wrong of Playboy to put her picture on the cover without her consent, but I’m sure the publicity that this incident has generated has only helped with the magazine’s sales. There’s no exchange of money, so Jessica would still seem to be the one that’s getting screwed here.
