Jennifer Aniston & Marley Top Pitt, Sandler, Cruise at Box Office

Jennifer Aniston is top dog at the box office.  Her flick, Marley & Me, earned $24.1 million over the weekend, making it No. 1 for the second week in a row.  The doggy drama, which set a Christmas Day opening record, has made $106.5 million so far.

Adam Sandler‘s Bedtime Stories came in second spot, earning $20.3 million.  Read the full story at USmagazine.com

This is not terribly surprising, considering Jennifer Aniston’s film looks fun and exciting (I hear there is a topless pool scene), while Brad Pitt‘s movie looks dull and boring.  If I were taking a date to a movie, I wouldn’t see “Button”, but would definitely check out Aniston’s flick.  Think about it… which one gives you the better opportunity to score after the movie?

Still, Pitt nearly equaled Aniston’s total w/ a $18.4 million haul during the same time period.  Not too bad for such an “aged” looking movie. (pardon the pun)  And no, I haven’t seen either movie.  Will wait until they come out on DVD before wasting my greenbacks.

The winner from this weekend, however, looks to be Adam Sandler, who’s kids movie topped $20 million.
