Pete Wentz Weighs In On Jessica Simpson Controversy

Pete Wentz is defending sister-in-law Jessica Simpson — who shocked fans at a weekend chili cook-off with a fuller figure.

“I think that the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general, and I think it’s a bummer,” the Fall Out Boy told Extra from the NFL Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash in Tampa, Florida Thursday, when asked about Simpson’s new curves.  Read the full story at USmagazine.com

Really, is it news when a (not popular anymore) band member (Wentz) comments on a pudgy Jessica Simpson?  Not trying to bash Pete at all, but I don’t even hear Fall Out Boy on the radio anymore and really don’t care what he has to say about Jess’ weight.  Is it really that big of a deal that we need everyone’s opinion on it?
