Watch For Free Beyond Remedy (2009) – Free Streaming Movies

Had I not been reviewing Beyond Remedy (2009) I?d probably have turned it off within minutes. Still, someone?s gotta review it and so I stuck it out for what seemed like an eternity so that I could give caution to you guys. Actually, I was almost glad that I did ?cos it did pick up a little towards the end and although I still didn?t rate it, I feel sure that it might appeal to a fair percentage of viewers.

Basically, a group of medical students, each suffering from their individual phobias, are invited to an abandoned hospital for
alternative therapy. They enter the experiment resigned to the fact that confronting their fears may be their only hope of a cure. Enter the killer, tailoring his murders to suit his victims with each one finding themselves in a specific nightmare embodying their phobia.

The problem I had very early on in the film was David Gant?s character (Gingrich) who leads the initial seminar. Not really being familiar with David Gant I cannot say if it was his acting at fault, or if he was instructed to ?ham it up like a pantomime dame at Christmas? either way his character was the thing that had my finger hovering over the remote from the outset. I could hardly believe it! I?m guessing that sinister was what they were asking for, but bloody annoying is what was delivered and it took ages for me to forgive it and settle back into the story.

None of the acting was great although Marie Zielcke was plausible enough as Julia, the lead character. Beyond Remedy was a lot of nonsense with a bit of gore thrown in to keep me watching. It did eventually build up to a reasonable climax -which in the end, made this film worth a watch. There was little to fault about the making of the film with direction by Gerhard Hro? being more than adequate. The lighting and music score were acceptable. So, why didn?t I like the majority this film? Well, it?s hard to say. The story was a tad weak and slow but it did improve, the characters were uninteresting and I guess that I?m just too unforgiving, but Christopher Biggins?, Oops! I mean David Gant?s character turned me off early on, I was losing the will to live by the middle of the film, and by the end? Well that last half an hour saved it, and yes, I?m glad I resisted that early temptation to turn off. If only so I can say I?ve seen it.

If you don?t expect too much from Beyond Remedy, and you don?t hate the amateurish, over-dramatic acting by Gant at the start then you may well enjoy it.
