In a shocking announcement today, former Cincinnati Reds player and coach, Pete Rose announced that he placed bets on the Reds in every game they played.� Ok, so this isn’t so shocking since 99% of the world already knew about the gambling scandal, but it definitely confirms without a doubt that Rose lied repeatedly.

“I bet on my team every night. I didn’t bet on my team four nights a week. I was wrong,” said Rose, who accepted a lifetime ban for gambling in 1989.

“I bet on my team to win every night because I love my team, I believe in my team,” he added. “I did everything in my power every night to win that game.”

At stake now (or not), is his legacy and his ability to get into the Baseball Hall of Hame in Cooperstown.� While its unlikely that his current status will change or if Bud Selig will remove the ban on Rose, the admission of guilt comes a little too late in my opinion.�

For 15 years, Pete Rose has lied about gambling on his own team while he was coaching.� He’s done this more or less to try and get elected to the hall of fame, but the lying is probably too much for voters to overlook.� No doubt that Pete’s stats alone are worthy of election, but voters are likely to take character into consideration, if Rose is ever up for nomination again.� During the interview Wednesday on ESPN Radio, Rose also indicated that he’s given up on the notion of joining the Hall of Fame, but 15 yrs of lying lead me to believe he’s just lying again.

Personally, Rose’s on-field play and hit record are enough in my book to put him in the Hall.� The guy should be elected for the way he played, not the way he managed.� What he did was wrong, no doubt,�and continuing to lie about the whole gambling scandal further tarnished Rose’s reputation.

In a strange twist of events (yes, another one), Britney Spears has reportedly left the rehab facility that she just entered on Tuesday.  Family intervention seems to be Britney’s motivation for checking into the rehab facility just yesterday, but it’s evidently not enough to keep her there.  Spears left less than 24 hrs after checking in.  This is the 2nd time in the past few weeks that Britney has entered rehab and left on her own - both within 1 day of entering.

The television news magazine “The Insider” initially reported that Spears called a car service, walked out of the Promises Malibu Treatment Center and left the facility early Wednesday morning.

Later, the TV show “Extra” and the celebrity Web site TMZ.com said the 25-year-old pop star had left the center far short of the usual 45-day stay. TMZ said she couldn’t handle rehab and went home.

Of course all of this comes on the heals of Britney’s wild weekend where she shaved her head & got new tattoos.  I know a few people that have had to go to rehab for one reason or another, but haven’t ever seen anything like this…

There  are victims of this tragedy by the way… Britney’s kids.  Let’s hope someone is watching over them a little smarter than Britney.

It seems that Britney is sick of the media attention surrounding her and going bald basically helps her say “fu** you” to the press and media; I’m not sure you can blame her for wanting to stop all the rumors.

What it really does, is adds to the ongoing lunacy and insane behavior that Britney has displayed since her breakup w/ K-Fed.

A bystander interviewed by L.A.’s KABC-TV, which filmed Spears heading into Body & Soul Tattoo on Ventura Boulevard, said that the pop star had shaved her head because “she didn’t want people touching her anymore.”

In an even stranger twist, it seems that Britney cut her locks off herself, shaving her head bald in a tattoo parlor. Spears was in the tattoo shop to get two more tattoos; one on her hip and another on her wrist.

There are reports that Britney entered a rehab facility this week and left just a day later. Of course, Spears people deny it, while other sources say it did happen.

News of Spears’ head-shaving, tattoo-inking antics came amid intense speculation earlier Friday that the increasingly pooped-looking “Toxic” singer was in rehab. But there was no confirmation from her camp, only conflicting reports that Spears was already out of rehab.

According to Extra, which first advanced the rehab story, Spears checked into an unidentified treatment facility about two days ago.

Later, both TMZ and People reported that while had Spears checked into a treatment facility, she’d checked out a day later.

Britney’s family is reportedly very concerned about her behavior and is thinking intervention… it seems clear that she’s on some kind of drugs that are affecting her ability to function normally. The former Mickey Mouse Club member no longer resembles the cute & talented girl we’ve all come to know her as.

I think the only thing Britney Spears has left to do is pose for Playboy and she’ll have done about everything possible to ruin her career.

In the latest twist of Britney Spear’s ongoing drama (her life), her new boyfriend (now ex) apparently broke up with her over the phone.  Her beau of only 1-2 months, Isaac Cohen, reportedly had enough of the “father” role while with Spears and wasn’t in the mood to continue the relationship, which from his perspective should’ve been over awhile ago.

This whole relationship stinks of a publicity stunt for Cohen, who apparently doesn’t know what a 4-yr old is like, or an infant…. and that’s just when describing Britney… what about her kids?

Seriously though, did he think that by dating a mother of two children that he’d somehow not have to be a Dad in some way, shape or form?  Hip-hopping around the country w/ Britney’s money does sound like fun, but duh!, she has 2 kids w/ your look-a-like (K-Fed) and has been caught how many times without panties/underwear?

Did he or didn’t he? He did, he didn’t…. Ok, so we now know that Isaiah Washington really did utter a gay slur (”faggot”) regarding fellow actor T.R. Knight on the set of Grey’s Anatomy.

Washington is now in therapy and receiving treatment to help him understand why he made the remarks and how he can overcome it…. How about helping him quit lying?? That would probably help!

Goldman is seeking some of the reported $1.1 million that OJ was given for the book deal, which was never released. This is a step in the right direction, considering Simpson has yet to pay off much (if any) of the $33 million civil judgement against him.
• Paris Hilton dropped - The owner of “Club Paris” has dropped Hilton as the spokesperson for the club after her failure to show up for promotional appearances & such. Wow, isn’t the name on the club enough?

Former NBA player and current Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is getting a divorce.

Seems they don’t get along all that well since Michael has quit playing basketball… well, duh!!!

Recently divorced pop princess Britney Spears can’t seem to stay out of the news, this time for getting photographed getting out of cars wearing a short skirt with no panties on (twice).  My girlfriend thinks she’s just doing it to piss K-Fed off and to show him that he can’t control her anymore and/or tell her what to do. Well, I agree with that somewhat, but I also think she’s just dumb. The whole “Paris Hilton” friend thing looks a little staged to me (posing for photos, being caught w/out panties, etc).

Seems to be a big publicity stunt. It’s probably also devaluing the reported sex video that K-Fed is likely trying to get paid for… Again, she appears to be undermining Kevin every step of the way.

Shortly after taping the Jay Leno Show on Tuesday, rapper Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus) was arrested by police for a variety of charges, including: felony drug and weapons charges. Snoop posted his $60,000 bond and is out of jail for the time being.

A handgun and some illegal drugs were found in the vehicle that Snoop Dogg and his bodyguards were driving in following the show taping. He also reportedly had a secret compartment in his vehicle… I think everyone know what that was for.

This is not Snoop’s first run-in with the law. Prior to this year’s multiple arrest spree he’s on, he’s done the following:

Broadus was convicted in 1990 of cocaine possession and was charged with gun possession after a 1993 traffic stop. Facing three years in prison, he pleaded guilty in exchange for three years probation.

He was charged and acquitted of murder charges in 1996. An alleged gang member was killed by gunfire from a vehicle in which Broadus was traveling. Full story

Way to go Snoop… just because you’re famous you don’t think you can get busted for smoking weed?

Personally, I think the police & government should take a harder stand on marijuana references and obvious smokers (ie: Snoop, Willie Nelson, etc.). They brag about smoking it all the damn time, so why do the cops not do anything about it? Search their cars, search their damn houses and charge them with illegal possession.
