There is a new way to watch TV – from the convenience of your own desktop PC or laptop. Now there is no need pay monthly for cable or satellite tv subscriptions with inadequate
channel availability. Get a lifetime of unlimited access to movies, sports and yes, American Idol! The future of television is here.

If you are not watching American Idol live online, there is a chance you could miss the biggest show on television. American Idol is one of only three shows in history to hold the number one spot for five seasons in a row. The other two were All In The Family and The Cosby Show. This television phenomenon began with Britain?s hit sensation, Pop Idol and is now a part of the Idol franchise.

American Idol premiered initially with three judges, Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. The format expanded to four judges in Season eight, with singer/songwriter and music producer, Kara DioGuardi joining the judges table. It was then revealed that Paula Abdul would be leaving and the hunt was on to replace her. A long line of candidates included Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain, but it was revealed in September 2009 that Ellen DeGeneres would permanently take Paula?s chair.

Television has certainly come a long way from the days of All In The Family and The Cosby Show. Being able to watch your favorite shows like American Idol live online is the way of the future. We have become an up-to-the-minute society with social media tools like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Keeping up in real time is the accepted way to communicate now and many people are lost if they are not plugged in.

The other advantage of all the real time new media is that you get the opportunity to be interactive. Blogs and social media allow the viewers to comment on their preferences, making it potentially a better user experience.

In the case of American Idol, the American public gets to vote for their favorite contestant after each performance show.

Don?t get left behind in the dark ages. Keep up to date by watching American Idol live online. The biggest reality series on television today is waiting for you on your PC.

Damn… What happened?

Ok, so I took a break from writing for about a week, but it’s hard keeping up w/ all the celebrity and entertainment news… try it and see. It’s one thing to read about it and/or watch it on TV, but it’s another to write up an article on an event or talk about the latest gossip.

What did I miss the past week or so?

  • Golden Globe Awards – The awards have come & gone, with Babel, The Queen, Dreamgirls and Ugly Betty taking home multiple awards. I watched a bit of the awards, but mostly the red carpet and after-awards shows. Everything went off without a hitch for the most part… the biggest drama being the tension between Justin and Cameron. (Buy the Dreamgirls soundtrack)
  • American Idol – The show everyone is watching is back again… Honestly, I watched about 30 minutes of the season premiere and had to turn it off. I don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t appeal to me anymore. The biggest story about American Idol right now is Paula Abdul and her ridiculous behavior. It looks pretty obvious that she’s on some kind of drugs (or drunk). (Buy previous American Idol winner CD’s)
  • Benny Parsons passes – NASCAR legend and TV commentator passes away.
  • Lindsay Lohan Rehab – The rumors are true… Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab for her alcohol problems. (Buy Lindsay Lohan posters)

I think that’s it for now… check back for more updates soon!
