John McCain’s advisor Carly Fiorina has weighed in on Tina Fey’s Saturday Night Live impersonation of Sarah Palin.
“Well, I think that she looked a bit like her,” Fiorina told MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell. (Watch above.)
She continued “of course, the portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive,…

I missed the skit w/ Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin, but it’s getting a lot of attention today. Prior to the show, pretty much everyone agreed that Palin was already a mix between Tina Fey and Peggy Hill (from King of the Hill), so it is only natural that Fey play the part. She already looks like her, talks like her, etc. so why not take it all the way. If Palin and McCain succeed in winning the presidency, I would be surprised if Fey did not continue to play the part on Saturday Night Live – she was born for it. She may not take it, however, to protect her other TV career – what show is she on again? Michael Phelps is continuing his dominance out of the water — he’ll host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on September 13, NBC announced Wednesday.Rapper Lil Wayne will join the Olympic swimmer — who won eight gold medals in Beijing — as musical guest.

After winning a record 8 Gold Medals in a single Olympics, swimmer Michael Phelps gets an opportunity to host SNL’s season premiere. Certainly not the first athlete to host, nor the goofest… yet I have a hard time picturing Phelps doing comedy.
If nothing else, I will be looking to watch the musical act, Lil’ Wayne, whose newest CD (Carter III) is off the hook. Sure, he’s not the type of artist that many viewers will want to see, but anyone 12-35 (mostly male) is going to want to watch (TIVO it!).
I’ll give Phelps a brief chance and watch the show, but I’ll probably switch the TV to MadTV pretty quickly. Neither show is as good as it has been in the past, but there’s not much else on TV or cable at that time.
