Tropic Thunder Earns $26 Million as No. 1 Movie

Tropic Thunder debuted as the No. 1 movie at the box office this weekend, earning million and knocking The Dark Knight from five consecutive weekends at top.
Despite protests and boycotts about the use of blackface, the combat satire starring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller and Jack Black has earned million since opening on Wednesday.

The following trailer was emailed to me by a site visitor, Kelly ?… The movie trailer for “Tropic Thunder” is available from Break.com.
The Tropic Thunder trailer is quite hilarious and features Jack Black, Ben Stiller (& his wife), and Iron-Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.
The movie is basically a farce on typical war movies like Rambo, but has a very comical twist. The film is actually about the filming of a war movie - starring of course, the unlikely trio of goofballs and bad actors (in the movie).
While filming the scenes, the rag-tag bunch actually gets involved in a real battle w/ the locals and the laughters ensue.
What you can expect… (well, it is Rated “R”)
- Jack Black is loud & has a filthy mouth
- Robert Downey Jr. plays an Australian guy who gets surgery to be a black guy.
- Ben Stiller is a goofball actor (think Zoolander).
